Well over a million wildebeests and zebras migrate together from one end
of the Serengeti to the other each year, following the water. Their great
defense is their numbers. We watched them stroll peacefully past lions and
cheetahs who were obviously not hungry at all. The zebras
eat the taller grass and tend to be toward the front of the herds. The
wildebeests are much more numerous - and much more shy.
By the way - zebras bark!
