Even though "shooting" an animal on a photo safaris is a much less violent
act that on a traditional hunting safari, there tends to be plenty of
blood-lust in the safara-goers who hope to see the great predators stalk
and kill a zebra or antelope. But we definately encountered the more
peaceful side of the great cats. We first saw this lioness creeping along
the plain, and we watched carefully and quietly as she crossed the road behind
us and headed for some trees near some grazing antelopes. As she reached
the shade, she climbed up on a log and plopped down for a nap!
