Perhaps the most distinctive antelopes that we saw were the Topi.
At first we confused them with hartebeests, but then we read something that
described them as "hartebeests with jeans", and that description stuck.
Later, we also learned at they seek out slightly higher ground where they
can watch for predators. So this view is fairly typical - the Topis have
found the remnants of a termite mound to stand on so that they can be just
a few inches higher.
