She is looking down from heaven tonight.
This is for me a very painful night. Judy was my forever role model. It is almost 9 years. My relationship was a very close, endearing and gentle moment forever. After every examination that she went through, she would always counsel with me with her problem. That smile was always a very engaging and uplifting one. No matter whatever the results were with that particular procedure, always and always, she uplifted my own spirits.
Never ever would this lady, and she was a lady in every meaning of the word, fail to uplift my own spirits and I too was going through another aspect of this insidious disease.Unlike Hamlet, who said "to be or not to be," this was not Judy's creed, rather it was and it is something for all of us to follow in our own lives, rather "what to be and how to be."
Every life she touched is better by her being here, and in particular my own. Know that Judy embodied the very best in us. This was a lady inextinguishable by her fire in her belly and inextinguishable by her in her warm heart. This might be a celebration of the life of Judy and is by far one of the best remembrances of life that I have ever attended and for evermore I feel we have a mutuality in comfort and celebration and thanking Judy and God, having been given the privilege of knowing her and loving her.
But this should be a celebration by all of us and by all means remembering her to be a constant memory of her.
Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi
Make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love,
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
