Will of Charles Bacon  October 26, 1821
 
In the name of God amen:
 
I Charles Bacon of the State of Tennessee Washington County known that it is appo....nce to die and being now in a low state of health but of perfect sound mind and memory and state as it hath pleased God to bless me with I make this instrument of writing my last will .. dispose of in the following manner and form. First I give my two sons Charles and Jacob (five) hundred and seventy five dollars.  Thirdly I give my daughter Nancy twenty dollars and her husband is to .... estate at my death that I have on him for four hundred and thirty dollars. Fourthly I appoint my two sons Charles and Jacob executors of this my last will and testament here by revoking all other wills, legacies and made by me and pronounced this to be my last will and testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 26th day of October, One thousand eight hundred and twenty one. Signed, sealed and p..... in the presence of William Jackson, Elizabeth Bacon and Samuel Douglass.

The foregoing will was proven in open court by the oaths of William Jackson and Samuel Dougless two subscribing witnessess thereto at July sessions 1822 & recorded.

(Notes for Catherine Bacon from Michael K. Bacon:  11/20/92: George Jackson was the bondsman. This marriage is shown in the book "Marriage record of Washington County Tennessee 1787-1862"  Also in the information from Rollin M. Bacon, "The Charles Bacon Family" Catherine is again .... marrying Samuel Jackson (brother to George Jackson)
