The cemetery is also known as the "Hutcheson Cemetery". It is roughly 10 miles north of Pikeville, Tennessee, and about 3 miles as the crow files (but 12 miles by road) from the Cold Springs community, where many of my Hutcheson relatives lived.
I watched the 2017 full solar solstice in from this cemetery, which is on a hill in the middle of the Sequatchie Valley, partly under a stand of stately red cedar trees, and with views of the mountains of Central Tennessee on all sides.
Other Hutchesons and a lot of Kuykendalls are buried about 50 miles to the north in another Smyrna Cemetery near Cookeville, TN. Narcissa Myers' parents are buried about 50 miles to the west in a third Smyrna Cemetery near Irving College, TN.
