Notes: Archie was an avuncular gentleman with a great love of family, and was loved by many. He lived in the Detroit area his entire life, near his extended family, whom he hosted at his home frequently. I only met him a couple of times; the last at a small family reunion he hosted at his home in about 1998. He was patriotic, and proud of his military service. In the last few years of his live, he maintain an email discussion list, and send frequent emails to friends and family. Many were written by Archie or his sister, Helen, and he passed on other family messages and topical message of the day. The messages were quite clever and interesting, and non-infrequently displayed his conservative political bent. The other two boys, Archie Lee, age 11, and Charlie, age 9, went to live with their maternal grandma, Nancy Everly who was widowed. She also had two other family members living with her. Notes: According to Jim Murphy, Fannie and her husband Arch Lee Coffman married December 22, 1909 and had seven children. They lived in the Detroit, Michigan area and Arch was a banker. He passed away while some of the children were small and Aunt Fannie had to work to support the family. She worked at Hudsons, a large department store in Detroit.
