Birth: 1615 Crewkerne, Somerset, England Death: Nov. 19, 1665, Maine, USA {The Reverend} Joseph Hull (1615-1665) was born in England, the son of Thomas Hull and his wife Joanna (Peson) Hull, who were married in Crewkerne Parish on 11 January 1572/3. There, circa 1618, he married his unknown first wife. After her death, he married (second), circa 1634, Agnes (maiden name unknown). ... In 1662, he became minister at Durham, New Hanpshire. Eventually, he moved to what is now called "Appledore Island" (name changed from Hog Island, name changed from Farm Island), the primary island in the Isles of Shoals that is now part of York County, Maine. Reverend Hull lived there until his death. Ancestry.com records show that {The Reverend} Joseph Hull died in Agamenticus,York County, Maine in 1665, which is the nearest mainland point to Appledore Island. It appears most likely that Reverend Hull died on Appledore Island, in York County, Maine. CHILD: Joanna Hull (1620-1639). "On 20 March 1634/5, "Joseph Hall of Somerset, a minister, aged 40 years, Agnis Hall his wife aged 25 years, Joane Hall his daughter aged 15 years, Joseph Hall his son aged 13 years, Tristram his son aged 11 years, Elizabeth Hall his daughter aged 7 years, Temperance his daughter aged 9 years, Grissell Hull his daughter aged 5 years, Dorothy Hall his daughter aged 3 years, Judeth French his servant aged 20 years, John Wood his servant aged 20 years, [and] Rob[er]t Dabyn his servant aged 28 years" were enrolled at Weymouth as passengers for New England on the Marygould." They came to Massachusetts Bay in 1635 & first settled in Weymouth MA . They moved to Hingham by 1638, Barnstable in 1639, Yarmouth in 1641, York ME in 1643, & finally Oyster River & Isles of Shoals ME. She was living on 5 December 1666. They had 9-10 children: Hopewell (son), Benjamin, Naomi, Daniel, Ruth (not Raymond), Dodovah, Samuel, (possibly) Phineas, Reuben, Ephriam, & Priscilla.

Agnes Hunt Hull (1610 - aft 1666) was the second wife of the Rev. Joseph Hull. They married on 13 March 1633 at St. Cuthbert's Church, Wells, Somerset. The parish record has been posted. This record has only recently come to light.
