This farm was on Papscanee Island and was leased from May 1, 1653, to May 1, 1658, by Pieter Hartgers, and in 1658 sold to Volckert Jansz and Jan Thomasz.

Hans Jansen Van Nordstrandt wed Reymerig and lived at Nordstrandt Island in present
Germany. They had three children; Jan, Simon, and Marritje. Shortly after Marritje’s birth in 1636, the family came to America and Hans took up farming at Amersfoort (Brooklyn) on Long Island. Reymerig died soon thereafter then Hans married Jannetje Van Leeuwen at New Utrecht, Long Island and had seven children by her. Maritje was eventually bound out to tavern keeper Phillip Gerritssen and in 1653, at the age of seventeen, wed Juriaen Westfall.
