The county seat of Washington County, though much, much smaller (5600 people) than Johnson City (66,000 people). In far northeast Tennessee, and part of the "Tri-Cities" area of Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol (TN & VA). Jonesborough and outlying communities such as Sulphur Springs, Gray, and Telford were home to many of my Keebler, Bacon, and Wattenbarger ancestors and their kin.
