This profile may represent a father and son, both named Robert Dennis. There is confusion about the origins of three men named Robert Dennis. By 1640, an immigrant named Robert Dennis was established in Yarmouth, MA. A Robert Dennis moved from Yarmouth to Woodbridge, Middlesex Co, NJ, in the 1660's, but records of Robert Dennis in Yarmouth continued after that, including a death in 1685, so one is possibly the son of the other. If they are two men, they both seemed to have married women named Mary, and neither wife's family name is clearly documented. The third Robert Dennis was primarily in Rhode Island, but seems to have been present in Monmouth Co, NJ, (adjacent to Middlesex Co) at some point.
