Gravestone inscription: Beneath this monumental stone lies interred the body of the Revd. Moses Dickinson, late pastor of the first Church of Christ in Norwalk, who departed this life May 1, 1778, in the 83d year of his age, and 51st of his ministry in said Church. A man of good understanding, well informed by study, chearful in temper, prudent in conduct, he came to his grave in full age like as a shock of corn cometh in his season
