Francis Ray Healy Funeral Notice From The Tennessean of Nashville Tennessee, Tuesday, Sept 9, 1946 (page 4)

Funeral services for Mrs. Donald Healy, 28, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Felix C. Ray of 2004 West End who died Sunday, will be held in Winchester, today. Whitfield and Andy T. Ritchie will conduct the services at the High Street Church of Christ at 11 a.m. (DST) and burial will be in Winchester cemetery. Mrs.

Healy, the former Miss Frances Ray, died in the Decatur, General hospital after having ill health for several months." She became seriously Ill about weeks ago. Native Winchester, she came two, to Nashville with her parents when she was 8 years old. After having graduated from David Lipscomb college here in 1940, she went to Los Angeles, where she attended George Pepperdine college. In June, 1943, she received her B.S. degree from Harding college in Searcy, Ark.

She later returned to Nashville to attend George Peabody college and received an M.A. degree from that institution in June, 1946. Shortly afterward she moved to Decatur with her husband, to whom she was married on May 27, 1943 at Harding college. He is minister of the Memorial Drive Church of Christ there. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Healy is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Ilene Healy; two sisters, Mrs. J. E. Ryan of Russellville, and Mrs. F.E. Alexander of Santa Rosa, a brother, Felix C. Ray of Nashville.
