My great, great, great grandparents, John Blackburn Myers and Mary Snoddy, are buried here along with numerous Myers and Snoddy relatives.(John Myers was born in Jefferson County as John Moyers and has that name in my database. Both names appear on his and Mary's 1812 marriage record.)
The cemetery photo is of John and Mary's graves, which were preserved when a church parking lot was built over the location of the original church building. You can see a bit of the fairly large cemetery behind their graves.
Two nearby cemeteries are also named "Smyrna", in Cookeville, about 50 miles to the north, and near Pikeville, about 50 miles to the southeast.
